    The Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Surgeon or Dermatologist is focused on improving the appearance and aesthetics of patients through in-office procedures - including minimally invasive surgical interventions. This provider is highly trained in various surgical techniques and possesses expertise in performing procedures to enhance facial and body features. They work closely with patients to understand their aesthetic goals and provide personalized treatment plans to achieve the desired outcomes.

    Locations include: Greater New Bedford Surgi Center, Delmar Cosmetic Center, St. James Surgical Center, and Prairie Spa. Full-time and part-time opportunities, including surgery center rental, available.

    Responsibilities:

    Patient Consultation:

    • Meet with patients to discuss their cosmetic concerns and aesthetic goals.
    • Evaluate patients' medical histories and assess their overall health status to ensure they are suitable candidates for surgery.
    • Discuss the potential risks, benefits, and expected outcomes of various cosmetic procedures with patients.
    • Educate patients on alternative treatments and non-surgical options when appropriate.
    Surgical Procedures:
    • Perform a variety of cosmetic surgeries in the office or Ambulatory Surgery Center, including but not limited to:
    • Threading/In-office face sculpting
    • Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery)
    • Lip augmentation
    • Body contouring procedures
    • Hair transplant
    • Utilize advanced surgical techniques and cutting-edge technologies to achieve optimal results.
    • Ensure patient safety and comfort during all stages of the surgical process.
    • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other medical professionals to manage patient care during surgery.
    Pre-operative and Post-operative Care:
    • Conduct pre-operative assessments to prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery.
    • Provide detailed pre-operative instructions to patients regarding medications, diet, and lifestyle modifications as applicable.
    • Perform post-operative follow-ups to monitor patients' recovery progress and address any complications or concerns.
    • Prescribe appropriate medications and wound care instructions to promote proper healing.
    Medical Records and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and complete medical records for each patient, including treatment plans, surgical notes, and progress reports.
    • Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines regarding patient confidentiality and data protection.
    • Continuing Education and Research:
    • Licensed, without restriction, in the state where services are performed.
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in cosmetic surgery techniques and technologies.
    • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) programs and attend relevant conferences and workshops.
    • Conduct research in the field of cosmetic surgery to contribute to advancements in the specialty.
    Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other medical specialists, such as ophthalmologists, dermatologists and aesthetic practitioners, to provide comprehensive patient care.
    • Work with support staff, including nurses and medical assistants, to ensure smooth surgical procedures and post-operative care.
    Requirements

    Requirements:
    • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
    • Completion of a residency program in plastic surgery or a related field.
    • Board certification in plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery or dermatology.
    • State medical licensure and compliance with all relevant medical regulations.
    • Proven experience and expertise in performing various cosmetic surgical procedures.
    • Strong surgical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and other medical professionals.
    • Dedication to patient safety, ethical practices, and continuous improvement in the field of cosmetic surgery.
    • Adherence to practice policies and procedures.
    • Must possess the physical, mental, and cognitive skills needed to complete essential tasks, including abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for comprehension, problem-solving, and timely decision-making.
