Nature of Work
Parks/Pipestem Resort State Park/Summers County Under general supervision, this person will assist with the daily operations of the reservation, front desk, and call center at Pipestem Resort State Park. Employee will be responsible for greeting guests, checking them in and out of their rooms, collecting money for lodging and services, and giving receipts. Receives and processes reservations by mail, phone, or in person. Makes shelter and camping reservations, including typing and balancing this with accounting. Assigns rooms and cabins based on availability. Prepares daily bank deposits, revenue reports, and other related reports. Handles emergency calls that might need 911 responses. Dispatches maintenance and housekeeping requests for guests, using a two-way radio system. Answers switchboard and routes calls. Mails brochures and other informational material. Posts weather daily for guests. Verifies that all printed material is on hand, if not, makes copies for distribution. Displays brochures and other material in the desk area and other assigned areas. Types and files related paperwork. May oversee and coordinate work of other Lodge Desk Clerks. Must be able to multitask. Must be able to communicate easily and clearly, both orally and in writing. Must be able to type and file accurately and efficiently. Must be able to coordinate the work of others. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Must be available to work all shifts. Performs related work as required. Regular attendance required.
