    Job Description


    American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on night shifts with every other weekend required and floating within specialty as needed.

    Responsibilities

    Work in a 30-bed Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
    Observation unit with quick patient turnover and average daily census of 28
    Patient population includes chest pain, abdominal pain, UTI, renal (peritoneal dialysis handled by dialysis nurses), and trauma/ortho cases
    Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6 with lower acuity

    Night shifts: 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30

    Required to work every other weekend with four weekends in a four-cycle schedule
    Float within Med/Surg Tele specialty and to a nearby facility as needed
    No on-call requirements
    Royal blue scrubs required
    RNs responsible for clamping/unclamping and documenting peritoneal dialysis exchanges
    First-time travelers are accepted for this position
    Holiday shifts are required according to the hospital's schedule

    Requirements

    Active MD or Compact RN license required
    Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
    Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale required
    CPI certification completed during onboarding on-site
