    *Position Summary:

    • Ratios: 1:1
    • Shift: 12hr DAYS No OT billed until after 40 hours. 13 weeks only
    Call Requirement: 1-2 12hr shifts every 2 weeks

    • Float Requirement: Support for inpatient units as needed
    • Weekend Requirement: every other weekend
    *Qualifications:
    • Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years
    • Traveler Experience: Unit accepts 1st time travelers
    • Locals Accepted /

    Rate Difference:
    Yes


    • Skills: Circulate.
    *Certifications:
    • BCLS and NBSTSA
    *Preferred:
    • Scrub, \Strong preference for Ortho Trauma/ Neuro experience
    Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster.

    Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.

    *SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:
    • New Hanover Regional Health System provides surgical services that support multi-specialty inpatient, outpatient, and emergent surgical procedures. Procedures include Cardiothoracic, General, Vascular, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Urology, EENT, OB/GYN, Plastics, OMF, Trauma, Dental, Pediatric, Neonatal, Endoscopy and, Organ harvesting
    *UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication):
    • PYXIS and EPIC
    *SCHEDULING TYPE: * self scheduling but the manager determines the final schedule.

    *UNIT ORIENTATION: * 24 hours

    *SCRUBS: * provided by unit

    *INTERVIEW AVAILABILITY:
    • Please provide your candidate's interview availability for the next 72 hours while submitting. Manager will not offer without speaking to the candidate first.
