    Compensation

    * $13.21-$21.58/hr. based on previous work experience.

    • Evening differential $1.10/hr.
    • Night differential $1.25/hr.
    • Weekend differential $1.25/hr.


    The Monitor Room is a 24/7 operation that is responsible for cardiac monitoring for all patients in the health system.

    The Monitor Techs partner with nursing staff so that safe and excellent patient care is provided at all times.

    Job Summary


    • Provides continuous patient monitoring at a central telemetry monitoring station, recognizing all life-threatening arrhythmias and abnormal vital signs and reporting these to the nurses in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Assist with admitting and discharging patients from the telemetry monitoring system and sending reports to the electronic medical record.
    • You must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
    Qualifications

    Education


    • Must be able to read and write English.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    Experience


    • Basic knowledge of computer systems and strong keyboarding skills is preferred.
    • Previous health-care experience preferred.
    • On the job training will be provided.
    (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

    Licensure / Certification


    • Must pass Basic Arrhythmia certification test provided by NRHS within 6 weeks of hire.
    • Passing grade is 80%.
