    Description

    Summary



    This position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). OJJDP provides national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to youth delinquency and victimization. This Operations position provides budget, analytical and program insight that keeps many of OJJDP's functions and programs operational.



    Duties


    As a (Management and Program Analyst) you will be responsible for the following duties:

    • Serves as an expert analyst in the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems.
    • Oversees the development of policies and procedures, writing, reviewing and recommending approval upon completion.
    • Coordinates OJJDP's records management activities and works with the Office of Administration on the periodic archiving of records and files.
    • Serves as a financial expert on budgeting and financial management issues and activities, including historical costs.
    • Prepares various reports and briefings to the senior leadership advising on budget execution plans, fund shortages and program adjustments meant to ease shortages.
