- Works primarily within authentication services and must possess deep background and experience in this domain.
- Collaborates with other IAM architects to design and implement authentication services (both workforce and customer) for the enterprise
- Leads and oversees the build, configuration, and architecture of one or more authentication platforms, such as SSO, MFA, PKI, Identity proofing, etc.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of how authentications services integrate with broader security service
- Produces architectural documentation based on refined business requirement
- Obtains and evaluates information on factors such as reporting formats required and security needs to determine software and hardware configuration.
- Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.
- Provides technical leadership/guidance to other engineers in order to ensure operational excellence is consistently provided for IAM service
- Works within both on-premise and cloud-based technologies in order to provide global identity service
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree
- 7+ years of experience in IAM architecture and design
- Incumbents may be required to work a non-traditional schedule including on-call hours on a situational basi

Job Summary:
The Raymond James Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is looking for an authentication architect to join our dynamic and growing Engineering team.

Qualifications:
Experience and Education:
Knowledge of the following:
o Experience with two or more of the following technologies is required: Ping, Siteminder, RSA SecureID, Adaptive Authentication, Venafi, F5 APM
o scripting experience
o in-depth knowledge and experience with legacy SSO, LDAP, and Active Directory
o Advanced understanding and experience with common identity standards/protocols such as SAML, Oauth, and OIDC
o Experience in financial services (preferred)
o Experience with hybrid environments (preferred)
