    Description

    Job Details:

    • Fabrication of piece parts as per schematic under supervision of a Supervisor or Plant Foreman.
    • Ability to read blueprints and program machining equipment to produce required parts
    • Ability to use metal working manipulation machinery (brake, shear, etc.).
    • HMI experience and computer literacy
    • Familiarize self with and/or request training concerning machining equipment.
    • Maintain equipment in good working order and notify General Foreman or Supervisor of malfunctions.
    • Assistance and compliance with company inventory requirements.
    • Shop hygiene and 5-S program.
    • Perform all duties in accordance with the Silent-Aire Manufacturing Incorporated safety program standardize.
    • Organize department and keep department clean, also clean department at the end of each work day.
    • Familiarize self with and/or request training concerning new equipment.
    • Inspect equipment to ensure good working order and notify General Foreman or Supervisor of malfunctions.
    • Notify the General Foreman or Supervisor of any unsafe conditions, practices and/or procedures observed.
    • Other duties as required.
    Contacts:
    • Communication is primarily internal to the assigned work team and the Plant Foreman/Supervisors
    Working Conditions:
    • This position requires shop work, one must exercise caution. This environment presents many naturally-occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards. Appropriate personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and others) must be worn at all times where required.
    • It is very important that the incumbent of this position is able to work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Completion of high school or equivalent education (additional education or apprenticeship program which compliments the Metal Working Machine Operator's performance is preferred).
    • 3-5 years of experience working with CNC press brake equipment
    • Experience with all safe practices, procedures, and overall processes associated with manufacturing from raw materials to finished product.
