- Operating Room & Pain Management (Parma & Brecksville only)
- Bone Densitometry (Parma Only)
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- IV Starts
- Produces quality CT/XR images in a variety of settings
- Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatients
- Educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to maintain basic understanding and comfort.
- On the spot critical thinking
- Effective communication skills
- Functions well under stress and with minimal supervision
- Works well both independently and as part of the CT/XR Team
- The CT/XR staff work closely with Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all MetroHealth patients.
- All CT scanners are ACR Accredited
- All CT/XR Technologists credentialed through ARRT
- Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing CT (Computed Tomography) & X-Ray scanning equipment in the diagnosis of diseases in humans.
- Functions in a multi-purpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment.
- Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH)
- American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.
- One-year related experience, as well as advanced certification through the ARRT in CT.
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
- May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs.
- May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
