- Experience with designing mechanisms that operate in harsh temperature environments like temperature chambers
- High-speed automation design experience
- Ability to size and select motors
- 10+ years' experience in high-speed automation and mechanism design using SolidWorks
- Design for cost and manufacturability
- Conceptualize, design, and develop new automated semiconductor test equipment
- Design and build automated machining and electromechanical systems
- Improve existing designs and processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional Engineering teams
- Define requirements with Project Managers
- Provide project management of existing products
- Identify root causes using tools like FEA and FMEA
- Write specifications, test plans, and reports
- Prepare assembly drawings and bill of materials
- Research, select, and test vendor products
- Provide support to engineering lab and manufacturing floor
- Education/Training: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required, M.S. degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of ten years' engineering experience, or six to seven years with a Master's degree. Experience in machine design or automation for the semiconductor industry preferred
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and analytical methods
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with designing electro-mechanical parts and mechanisms
- Familiarity with automation, robotics, and thermal engineering
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and engineering documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will be involved in conceptualizing, designing, and developing automated semiconductor test equipment components using SolidWorks. You will work on improving existing designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and performing detailed cost analyses on new products.
