- Responsible for general accounting in accordance with US GAAP requirements, ensures general ledger accounting in line with external audit requirements
- Planning & execution of monthly, quarterly and year-end closing, ensuring accurate financial reporting results are delivered on time and with high quality
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying and consolidating all business transactions in the financial systems
- Lead a variety of General Ledger functions incl. accruals & provisions, payroll & benefits and travel & expenses
- Define and refine accounting processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvements
- Perform detailed research and analysis of P&L accounts, Balance Sheet, and various sub-ledgers. Prepare reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies on a routine and proactive basis
- Lead in preparation and execution of US tax requirements, work with external service providers to ensure accurate and timely tax filing
- Prepare financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other functions across the organization to ensure financial transactions are understood and recorded appropriately and to drive financial operations accountability.
- Train, mentor and support other Ampure accounting colleagues
- Plan and coordinate external audit requirements incl. physical inventories and cycle count programs
- Record and approve journal entries into general ledger
- Define accounting processes and procedures
- Establish and communicate month end, quarter end and year end general accounting procedures and timelines
- Implement improvements and corrective measures in general accounting across the organization
- Train colleagues in general accounting principles
- Coordinate and lead in all external audit and general accounting requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- 3+ years of Big 4 accounting firm experience, CPA license preferred
- Corporate accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to lead multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
- Detail-oriented, team player, and strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills with all levels in an organization
- Experience with major ERP systems (SAP, Netsuite)
- Proficient in Microsoft office – Proven ability to utilize advanced Excel functions
