    SUMMARY:
    The Sr.

    Database Administrator is responsible for coordinating physical changes to computer databases; and codes, tests, and implements database by performing the following duties.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Troubleshoot day-to-day database and application issuesPlay an integral role with the documentation of existing systems and configurationsAssist with design, implementation and support of standards and procedures for monitoring, capacity planning, maintenance, backups and recoverySupport multiple databases in development, staging and production environments in local and remote data centersConfigure and support high-availability for SQL Server including clustering, replication and mirroringSupport application teams and resolve database problemsInstall server-based applications software in coordination with system administratorsInstall and manage new software, upgrades and patchesCreate and implement best practices for stored procedures, triggers, packages, tables and viewsOptimize database performance by analyzing and tuning stored procedures, creating indexes and views, etc.

    as neededConfigure and maintain enterprise ETL processes using various ETL tools, including SSIS, .NET scripting, and T-SQLComplete database maintenance procedures and generate system reportsCreate and implement security modelsParticipate in application development processes to facilitate good database design and access techniquesPlan, prepare and test backup and recovery procedures for all production databasesMonitor databases for efficiency and periodically reorganize databases for optimal performance during scheduled downtimeCreate indices and manipulate tuning parameters where needed to enhance performanceCalculate volumetric equations to estimate new database sizes and plan appropriately for growthCommunicate plans to system administratorsResponsible for the security of database systems and all business/scientific applications connected to it, including creating and maintaining database and application accounts, application/database patching, and database/application security auditingProduct monitoring for performance and health, participate in load test activitiesOther duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field.

    Must have a strong background in client-server technology.

    Must have working knowledge of SQL Server.5+ years of experience as a SQL DBA in enterprise, multi-site SQL Server environmentsIntermediate to advanced skills with SSIS and T-SQLEffective written and oral communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skillsWillingness and proven ability to provide the highest level of customer serviceExperience with Microsoft Azure Technologies and Deploying databases into cloud environmentsReporting Services (SSRS) and Analysis Services (SSAS) experience is preferred but not requiredExperience with .NET scripting (C# or VB.

    NET) and/or PowerShell is preferred but not requiredExperience in the Automotive Industry is preferred but not requiredExperience in CRM systems is preferred but not requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak directly with both clients and vendorsStrong math and Algebra skillsAbility to problem solve and diagnose applications that work with databasesSalary Description125-135K/year#J-18808-Ljbffr
