Our Nutrition Services team is seeking food Preparers to join their team If you have experience in food service or are seeking an opportunity to begin a healthcare career - this may be for you In this role, you will provide friendly, courteous meal service to visitors, patients, and employees.
**Entry level wage begins at $14.54/hour . In addition, this is an on call position eligible for a 8% wage per diem in lieu of benefits. Must be available to work variable days, evenings, (until 7:30 p) and weekends.
As a Food Preparer, you will
Provide friendly and courteous services to our patients, visitors, and employees.
Assist in the preparation of the salad bar, peeling of vegetables, sandwich makings, and service of food.
Set-up patient trays, assemble cold food, assist in tray service and transporting carts to and from patient areas.
Ring up purchases, operate a cash register and make correct change.
Operation of a variety of kitchen appliances.
May perform a variety of tasks such as catering, cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas.
Responsible for daily cleaning and storage of food carts, pots and pans, dishware and other food service equipment.
A high school diploma or GED
Ability to learn the operation of equipment and to follow simple food preparation techniques
Washington State (Grant County) Food Worker Card (FWC) or the ability to obtain one
A desire to deliver excellent customer service
The completion of Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level within three (3) months of hire
