    Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting a Business Development Analyst to support the Energy and Infrastructure team.

    This position Supports the business development efforts of EIT, working closely with the Senior Team Manager (EIT) and attorneys in EIT to support and execute business development initiatives.

    The Business Development Analyst coordinates with members of the Marketing and Business Development team to develop and execute firm business development initiatives.

    Independently analyzes viability of potential business development activities and provides recommendations to management.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Develops, drafts, and compiles client- and prospective client-related pitch materials, proposals, communications, and presentations for attorney review. Documents and maintains proposal-related information for future reference. Tracks, evaluates, and reports outcomes of business development activities.
    • Identifies and recommends strategic business development opportunities for EIT and its attorneys. Consults with attorneys within EIT to identify individual and practice group business objectives; recommends business development opportunities to achieve those objectives and drafts written business development plans as needed.
    • Conducts independent research on clients and prospective clients of EIT. Prepares competitive analysis and other research for use in identifying business opportunities and industry trends for EIT.
    • Identifies, recommends, and directs development and production of other communications for EIT, including client alerts and collateral materials in support of business development activities. Coordinates with Marketing and Business Development team and other departments across the firm to ensure quality communications.
    • Develops and coordinates planning, budgeting and support of client relationship building events for EIT.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.

    Experience:

    Minimum of 3 years of job related experience required, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization.

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

    Other Minimum Qualifications:
    Travel may be required. Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications. Strong commitment to client service excellence and teamwork. Must possess the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. Must act as catalyst for change, drive and own results. Creative and innovative. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals. Sound judgment and flexibility.

    Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions.

    Visual acuity needed to process and read extensive written communications. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory.

    The expected salary range for New York City based employees is $71,800 to $110,000, though salaries for employees based outside of New York City may differ.

    Beyond an employment candidate's physical location, salary offers may be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to, education, training, and/or experience.
