    Outdoor Environments Group is seeking motivated, hardworking individuals to work as a construction purchasing coordinator, who will coordinate all purchasing of materials for all jobs. The Purchasing Coordinator will work directly with Project Mangers, Landscape architects and vendors to ensure on time delivery, best cost, and accurate PO management.

    provide administrative support to the construction divisions & field teams, (procurement) purchasing, plan take- offs, must maintain neat, orderly, complete construction documents and project files

    Description of Tasks:


    • Schedule all materials


    • Build pricing estimates and Manage negotiations for all materials


    • Research types of materials and various vendors to ensure high quality and client satisfaction


    • PO administration and Invoicing support


    • Meet regularly with the Director of Construction, Construction Administrator (and) the Manager, of Field Operations, to understand the specific needs of each job/ project and determine where assistance is needed, on weekly and/or daily basis


    • Tracking all field related purchases, inspections, field documentations submittals and RFI's, making copies, reviewing and sending out meeting minutes, following up with subcontractors or material suppliers to ensure the proper documents are received; and other needs as required.


    • Update items in the system when needed so that it is available for review by the (Manager of Field Operations) for various meetings and or as required. Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors field staff, to process purchase orders, procurement, pricing from vendors, change orders, submittals, drawings, proposal letters, meeting minutes, punch lists and transmittals.


    • Update/enter job information in the system. Maintain open and frequent communication with the Director of Construction to ensure priorities are set and expectations are clear. Process and Manage all filed documentations, approved plans, field reports, field photos, expense reports, coordination construction dept field purchases. Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, as well as the supplier's reputation and history. Identify and research potential new suppliers.


    • Authorize payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation. Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers. Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories/supply base. Must be results oriented, no exceptions.

    Requirements:


    • Minimum 3 years' experience with construction purchasing/ procurement,


    • Ability to learn new systems quickly


    • Knowledge of Plant Materials a Plus


    • Experience Building Estimates


    • Have General Construction Knowledge


    • Experience Managing and processing PO's


    • Experience with Vendor Pricing Solicitations/ Bid Leveling.


    • Experience with Boss or equivalent system would be a plus.
