    Here at WeAquatics we provide personalized one-on-one swimming lessons. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Learn to Swim Instructor.

    As a Swim Instructor, you will play a key role in helping individuals of all ages and skill levels develop strong swimming fundamentals in a, one-on-one setting.

    Previous experience as a swim instructor or lifeguard is preferred, but we welcome energetic individuals who are willing to undergo our comprehensive training program.

    We also have opportunities with swim team coaching for anyone interested in club swimming.

    Learn to Swim Instructor

    Locations:
    LA Fitness Upper Marlboro, Lanham and Bowie


    Starting Pay:
    $25/hour


    Location and Hours:
    We are looking for a swim instructor to teach evenings Monday through Friday evenings in the Arlington/Alexandria area.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct personalized one-on-one or two-on-one swim lessons for individuals of all ages and skill levels.
    • Evaluate and monitor swimmer progress, offering constructive and empowering feedback.
    • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment by enforcing pool rules and safety protocols.
    • Communicate effectively with students and parents/guardians regarding progress and goals.
    • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and incidents.
    • Collaborate with other swim instructors and staff to enhance the overall program.
    • Foster a positive and enjoyable atmosphere during lessons

    Qualifications:

    • Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various strokes.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
    • Current lifeguard and CPR certifications preferred.
    • Passion for promoting water safety and a love for teaching swimming.
    • Previous experience as a swim instructor or lifeguard (not required but preferred).
    • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
