    Job Title: Internal Medicine Physician

    Compensation (Based on experience and qualifications)

    Location: South Chicago Clinic 9119 S. Exchange Ave Chicago, IL 60617

    Our healthcare organization is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Internal Medicine Physician to provide exceptional primary care services to underserved communities. As an Internal Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for managing patient care in collaboration with other clinical staff and members of the care team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive and high-quality primary care services to patients in the office, hospital, or other locations within the community as assigned
    • Serve as a consultant to clinical management regarding clinical goals and services
    • Manage patient care in collaboration with other clinical staff and members of the care team
    • Leverage industry knowledge and best practices to promote the mission and vision of the Medical Department and the organization
    • Support culture development and management efforts

    Qualifications:

    • M.D. Degree, or D.O. degree from accredited school of allopathic or osteopathic medicine
    • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Internal Medicine or another approved specialty.
    • Current and valid Illinois license as a physician and surgeon
    • Current and valid DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate
    • Eligible for, or maintenance of, hospital privileges at affiliated hospitals
    • Bilingual ability may or may not be required based on individual department needs.

    Education and Experience

    • Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with patients and other members of the care team.
    • Comfort working in a medical setting as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
    • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
    • Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage
    • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
    • Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise
    • Experience in working with a diverse population base preferred.
    • Ability to appropriately handle confrontation and conflict.
    • Ability to work independently and to seek consultation as necessary.
    • Ability to follow organization and departmental processes and procedures.
    • Ability to work in a high stress/fast paced/high work volume environment.
