About the Company: The Wave Waterpark is a popular destination loved by families throughout San Diego. Offering a range of attractions including water slides, a lazy river, and a Flow Rider, it provides an enjoyable experience for all visitors.
Job Description: The Wave Waterpark is currently looking for temporary workers for the upcoming summer season. Lifeguard training will commence in the Spring, providing opportunities for work leading up to the summer opening. As a lifeguard, you may be scheduled to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. On average, lifeguards work between 25-35 hours per week, making it an ideal first job for many.
Responsibilities: Examples of Essential Functions include:
Ideal Candidates: Successful candidates should be enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking, team players, and focused on providing excellent guest service.Minimum Qualifications:
Lifeguard Training Course: Training provided free of charge, with required in-water skills test to ensure readiness for the role.
Selection Process: All applications are carefully reviewed, with the most qualified candidates progressing to the next stages. Pre-employment clearances, including vision tests, drug screens, and fingerprinting, are mandatory post-offer requirements.
Schedule of Events: Interviews for screened applicants begin February 12, followed by Lifeguard Training sessions from April 5 onwards. On-the-job training commences May 17. For those interested in teaching swim lessons, instructor training starts April 13.
