- Responsible for automated and manual testing, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting instrument issues
- Efficiently work in a busy environment and adapt to change
- Determine specimen acceptability for testing
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following SOPs
- Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation
- Make technical decisions and problem solve
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate test results for quality patient care
- Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
- Replenish testing bench supplies and assist with specimen processing
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate protective equipment
- Bachelor's Degree in a life science or Medical Technology
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory preferred
- ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Proficient with computers, familiarity with laboratory information systems a plus
- Attention to detail, strong communication, and organizational skills
- Pass standardized color vision screen
- Flexibility for overtime or shifts based on business needs

Schedule: Casual/ on Call
Shift differential Pay: Weekday - 2nd shift $1.75, 3rd shift $2.25 + weekend shift differential pay 2nd shift $3.25, 3rd shift $3.75
Location: Legacy Meridian Park Hospital
