- Leverage expert knowledge of inkjet technology to develop and optimize inkjet dispensing systems for the precise deposition of biological inks
- Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of experiments and prototypes to validate new concepts, assess performance improvements, and drive continuous innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges, lead root cause investigations with existing inkjet systems, and implement preventative actions
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in biofabrication techniques and biotechnological applications, and incorporate relevant findings into the development process
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders on inkjet technology
- Participate in the planning and executing CATALOG's commercialization strategy for building and releasing the first DNA-based Storage platform

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Materials Science, or a related field with a focus on inkjet technology, biofabrication, or biotechnology (Masters or PhD strongly preferred)
- Proven track record with 3+ years of hands-on experience with inkjet technology, preferably in the context of dispensing biological materials
- Expertise in inkjet printhead operation, fluid dynamics, droplet formation, surface tension effects, and related phenomena, with the ability to apply this knowledge to optimize inkjet dispensing systems.
