Job summary
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan,and as may be directed by your supervisors.
Responsibilities
* Use the wristband or photo card file to identify residents before administering treatments, serving meals etc., as necessary.* Report all changes in the resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as practical. * Perform after meal care (i.e., remove trays, clean resident's hands face clothing etc.).* Assist residents with daily functions (dental and mouth care bath functions combing of hair dressing undressing etc.).- Inventory and mark the resident's personal possessions when instructed.
- Greet residents escort them to their room introduce them to his/her roommate if any other residents personnel appropriately make resident comfortable inventory store clothing assist packing for transfer discharge transport new rooms receiving area load unload vehicles instructed restorative rehabilitative procedures prepare physical examination check ensure personal needs met maintain confidentiality report incidents unauthorized disclosure protect health information honor refusal treatment request follow established policies equipment use notify supervisor superiors employees respond questions managers effectively present information procedure manuals interpret instructions furnished written oral diagram schedule form apply concepts situations solve practical problems deal variety concrete variables limited standardization exists.
