Town Square Sarasota is an adult day care center in Sarasota, FL. We are supportive, engaging and fun.
We are looking to hire a Personal Care Assistant who is responsible for providing personal care to seniors at our adult day center. The ideal candidate has experience working with the elderly, a genuine interest in the well-being of others and is reliable, compassionate and willing to go above and beyond. This position would offer shifts Monday-Friday beginning at approximately 8:00am and ending at approximately 4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break each shift. NO WEEKENDS
Responsibilities:
- Assist members with personal care needs including assisting with walking, transfers, toileting, dressing.
- Assist the Center Nurse with duties as assigned.
- Assist with meals and snacks.
- Communicate in a positive, courteous, and professional manner with members and their families, co-workers, and the community.
- Comply with company policies and procedures and safety and regulatory laws and standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred Current CNA certification or equivalent training as a Home Health Aide.
- Preferred prior experience working with seniors and/or adults with Dementia, Alzheimer's, or similar cognitive impairments.
- Able to bend, push, pull, squat, turn, transfer, and lift 50 pounds; able to stand for an extended period while providing physical assistance to members.
- Able to pass a level 2 background screening as required by the Agency for Health Care Administration.
