    We are seeking aCMT Special Inspectorto join our Lakewood, CO team Come join us

    Job responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to:

    This is for a key team player position where professionalism and supporting clients are critical. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of standard construction specification, and the standards for inspections, soils, aggregates, asphalt and concrete testing in the field in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. The Special Inspector will interact on a daily basis with owner and the contractor team to inspect active work project(s), prepare daily reports and data sheets and occasionally be called upon to perform various tasks to meet our client's project goals. You must be able to clearly communicate with the site representative regarding project specific recommendations. Essential duties include field observation and testing. Write detailed reports summarizing test results and observations, Inform field representatives of observation and test results. Communicate with managers, show commitment as a team player, and organize work and manage time effectively.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid driver's license, pass MVR Background check.
    • The successful candidate should have 3+ years of inspection/CMT experience.
    • Must be able and willing to work some weekends and occasional overtime.
    • Must have strong communications skills and be computer savvy – (Word and Excel) and able to add and use
    • Apps on a smart phone or tablet.
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret design plans and project instructions.
    • Ability to write daily reports.
    • Must be able to pass a background check for clearance to work on military installations.
    • Ability to follow Construction Site Safety Precautions.
    • Pass a pre-employment Drug Test.
    • Ability to travel within Colorado 20-100% of the time.
    TechnicalRequirements:
    • ACI Field I
    • ICC certifications desired: Reinforced Concrete, Pre-stressed Concrete, Structural Masonry, Structural Steel/Welding, Fireproofing, and/or Commercial Building Inspector.
    Other miscellaneous qualities:
    • Able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves and hard hats.
    • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time. Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired.
    • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet. Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, twist or crawl. Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
    • Ability to adapt to very hot and very cold outdoor weather conditions. Ability to walk around construction sites, climb ladders, platforms and carry test equipment.
    Compensation:

    $ hourly

    The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state's law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
