    Job Description

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Equal Employment and Title IX Analyst, UNLV Office of Equal Employment and Title IX [R0141668]

    ROLE of the POSITION

The Office of Equal Employment and Title IX's Analyst serves as the Title IX Coordinator's primary liaison to individuals who report to that office concerns of possible discrimination, discriminatory harassment, and retaliation or otherwise seek that office's support; and provides other vital support to the office's investigators and administrators.

The Analyst has primary responsibility within the Office of Equal Employment and Title IX for concerns which are received that do not, at their onset, contain sufficient information for the office to determine if it has jurisdiction over the matter.

For these concerns, the Analyst conducts intakes with the individuals at the source of those concerns, which requires effectively interviewing them to obtain the relevant detailed information about them and the details associated with their concern and timely documenting the intake in a clearly written summary.

For matters the Office of Equal Employment and Title IX does not have jurisdiction over, the Analyst will draft closure paperwork.

The Analyst is the primary point of contact for individuals involved in these concerns both before and after the concern's closure and is responsible for ensuring that all these concerns' associated documentation and correspondence are saved and maintained and organized in Maxient, the office's case management system.

The Analyst additionally has primary responsibility for assisting those they have conducted intakes with as well as all other complainants and respondents who are/were party to active Office of Equal Employment and Title IX matters with supportive measures, campus resources, and other interim remedial measures the office is responsible for putting into place.

The Analyst also is responsible for gathering information and heading up correspondence, as directed, to responses to charges filed with an external state or federal agency; gathering internal office data and information necessary to respond to public records requests or other data gathering assignments; tracking search requests; attending and taking notes during investigatory interviews where necessary; ensuring the office's master database is up to date; and performing certain office administrative functions when needed, such as answer the main phone line.

The Analyst must be able to effectively and appropriately prioritize assignments and structure tasks to accomplish and administer goals within established schedules and timelines.

When information/data is conflicting, the Analyst must use discretion in extracting and gathering additional information/data from a variety of sources to independently make decisions.

Writing plays a significant and prominent role in the Analyst's job duties whether that be summarizing intakes, engaging in thoughtful and professional written correspondence by email, or preparing drafts of closing documentation.
