- Monitor and report changes in patient health status.
- Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support patients by providing housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household requirements, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errands.
- Assist patients by providing physical therapy exercises, administering medications, and recording and monitoring vitals as directed by medical or nursing staff.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards.
- Enhance the patients wellbeing by providing companionship, personal services, and promoting emotional comfort.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide provided by a recognized body is preferred.
- Proven working experience as a Home Health Aide preferred.
- Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards.
- Proficiency in English.
- Caring and compassionate personality with the ability to handle stress.
- First aid training and CPR certification.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Ability to physically assist patients in and out of bed, into wheelchairs, cars, showers, etc.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks that may require lifting, bending, and walking.
