    Perform magnetic resonance procedures while demonstrating an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, medical terminology and magnetic safety.

    The MR technologist relies on good communication skills to act as the primary liaison between the patient and the interpreting radiologist.

    The use of professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking allows the technologist to be a responsible member of the health care team.

    Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Sciences.

    Experience as an MRI technologist is required to sit for the Advanced ARRT registry in MRI. The technologist must perform 120 studies prior to applying for the exam. Technical expertise; knowledge of anatomy, teaching/instruct, manual dexterity, safety conscious, clerical accuracy, and communication skills.

    Must be ARRT registered. Advanced ARRT eligibility for registry in MRI. BLS is required and must be completed prior to the end of the orientation period.

    Must pass MRI registry exam within six (6) months of completing training requirements.
