Description:
Our client is seeking a professional to provide support for the WebSphere service and applications to several Departments applications running on WebSphere and IBM WebSphere MQ.
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, and configuration of hardware and software
Maintain and update infrastructure documentation
Complete implementation of security policies and filters associated with the tools
Provide additional troubleshooting support
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Ability to plan and accomplish goals
Ability to perform complicated tasks
Degree of creativity and latitude
Skills Required
5+ years - Experience with installation, maintenance, administration and monitoring of the WebSphere Software in a multi-platform environment (Linux and Windows)(5)
5+ years – Experience providing proactive resolution of problems and/or alerts received by various monitoring and management systems.
5+ years – Experience providing resolution of connectivity problems, assisting users, and debugging problems.
5+ years – Experience providing hands-on technical experience in support of software tools such as WebSphere Application Server.
Experience with a broad range of technical skills in support of all WebSphere customers.
Experience training and/or experience with scripting tools such as Bash, Korn, and Jython.
Knowledge of change management best practices in a complex hosting environment.
