    Description

    The Warehouse Manager leads the day-to-day activities in either the Inbound or Outbound operations and is responsible for running an effective and profitable function.

    Operations Management

    • Manages the inbound/outbound operations, logistics and order fulfillment for an individual facility.
    • Ensures operational efficiency and adherence to company operational standards.
    • Execute operational processes and SOPs to achieve key warehouse metrics.
    • Alert Operations or General Manager to areas of opportunities and to resolve operational problems or deficiencies.
    • Use existing technology to maximize operational efficiency and productivity.
    • Ensure staff adhere to operational excellence initiatives.
    • Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Generate regular reports on departmental performance, trends, and key metrics to share with management and clients.
    Client Relationship Management
    • Serve as back up to Operations Manager as key contact for partners when addressing operational concerns.
    • Collaborate with managers and key departments to understand operational requirements.
    • Role models partner satisfaction to all staff.
    Financial Management
    • In partnership with the General Manager, meet financial targets (key metrics and benchmarks distribution & labor costs, meeting daily required percentage on billing against labor)
    • Adhere to facility budget and control expenses to achieve profitability.
    • Understand and use financial and operational reports to make informed decisions.
    • Adheres to staffing levels to meet operational needs while balanced with labor efficiencies.
    Staff Management and Development
    • Interview, train, develop and retain a high-performing team of warehouse and logistics professionals.
    • Provides performance feedback and coaching.
    • Ensure supervisors complete the company's monthly EFR discussions with eligible staff.
    • Role model company's How We Work Together Principles.
    • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement; and implement safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Partner with Operations Leaders and Human Resources to create an engaged, safe, and high performing team.
    Requirements
    • Associate's degree in related fields (e.g., Business Administration; Logistics Management) or equivalent and relevant operational experience.
    • Demonstrated leader with 3 years+ progressive management experience in a 3PL environment.
    • Experience in a fast pace, high volume unit pick fulfillment DC environment.
    • Ability to operate in a high-volume environment during extremely busy peaks season while executing multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Good math proficiency and ability to understand financial reports.
    • Ability to drive a high performing team to achieve key metrics and communicate expectations and directions.
    • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is desirable.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite or GSuite business platform tools is a plus.
    • Bilingual Spanish language is preferable.
    • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs.; occasionally, with team support, lift and/or move objects greater than 30 lbs.
