The salary range is starting at $18.00-$20.00 per hour
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The City of Lexington will operate 5 public pools in the Summer of 2024.
The Pool Coordinator works under the supervision of the Recreation Manager to provide leadership and support in the management of aquatic facilities and operations.
This role assists in overseeing administrative tasks, operational logistics, managerial duties, and programming initiatives related to aquatic facilities within the parks system.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be possess a valid drivers license
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Support the Recreation Manager in the overall leadership and supervision of aquatic facilities and operations.
Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and budget management.
Aid in the implementation and execution of operational procedures and protocols to ensure smooth facility operation.
Collaborate with the Recreation Manager to develop and manage aquatic programs, events, and activities.
Aid in staff supervision, training, and scheduling as needed.
Help maintain a safe and clean environment for patrons by monitoring facility cleanliness, safety equipment, and adherence to safety regulations.
Serve as a liaison between staff, patrons, and management to address concerns, resolve issues, and improve services.Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies to increase facility usage and participation.
Assist in the coordination of special events, tournaments, and other aquatic-related activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Recreation Manager.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Required qualifications.
Strong organizational, administrative, and managerial skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse groups of individuals.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred qualifications
Previous experience in aquatics management, recreation programming, or related field is advantageous.
Possession of a valid drivers license to drive company vehicles
CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications are desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
Knowledge of aquatic safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
Physical demands and work environment
Office and outdoor environment, with regular exposure to pool facilities.
Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk
