- Works with dental office managers, assistants, and other professionals to ensure that patients maintain their own oral health. Prevent oral disease through cleanings, recommendations, and treatments.
- Prepares the operatories with all needed equipment, materials and supplies for planned dental procedure(s) prior to seating the patient and cleans operatory after the patient is dismissed for timely turnover.
- Proficiently provides procedures commonly recognized by the dental profession for safe performance by a licensed dental hygienist include the removal of all hard and soft deposits and stains from the human teeth to the depth of the gingival sulcus, polishing natural and restored surfaces of teeth, performing clinical examination of teeth and surrounding tissues for diagnosis by the dentist, and performing other such procedures as may be delegated by the dentist.
- Take and develop dental x-rays to assist dentists in diagnosing oral conditions.
- Dental Hygienist provide direct patient care under the general supervision of the Dentist and perform other clinical and clerical functions independent of direct supervision.
- Other duties within scope as assigned.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures to OSHA and office standards.
- Current dental hygienist license in Arizona.
- Associate or bachelor's degree from ADA accredited dental hygienist school.
- CPR Certification.
- Preferred one-year dental experience.
- Certified in anesthesia and/or sedation, if appropriate
- Dentrix experience
- Experience with educating patients on dental treatment and procedures.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
