    Senior Technical Auto Claim Specialist

    Houston, TX

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Negotiate and resolve third-party commercial general liability and automobile bodily injury and property damage claims.
    • Verify coverage, interpret policies and contracts, and conduct thorough liability investigations to ensure accurate claim resolution.
    • Evaluate and negotiate claims in alignment with company policies and state regulations, demonstrating expertise in medical terms, treatments, and injury descriptions.
    • Manage the investigative process, providing clear communication to customers and external parties while documenting key activities, contacts, statements, and details necessary for claim resolution.
    • Collaborate effectively with outside defense counsel in managing litigation processes, evaluating potential exposures under the policy to establish timely, adequate reserves.
    • Manage complex claims and potentially testify in claims negotiations or trials.

    Requirements:

    • 12+ years of multi-line experience, including handling high-severity bodily injury claims.
    • Current Texas claims adjuster license; additional licenses are a plus.
    • Required litigation experience.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Multi-jurisdictional experience.
    • Familiarity with Contractual Risk Transfer concepts and anti-indemnity laws.
    • Strong negotiation and settlement skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in documentation and data handling.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to listen.
    • Commitment to high standards of customer service and accountability for individual actions.
    • Ability to use a win-win approach to resolve conflicts and encourage open discussion.
    • Strong computer proficiency.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Base Salary Range: $105,000 – $140,000
    • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
    • Comprehensive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Wellness, Paid Time Off, 401(k), and Profit-Sharing plans.

    The actual salary will be determined by factors such as the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
