    The client is looking for a suitable Fixed Assets Accountant with proven proficiency and experience managing large volumes of Fixed Assets.

    You'll be responsible for all daily accounting tasks for fixed assets located across multiple company's datacenters, including maintaining fixed assets listing, reconciling FA schedules to the general ledger, and maintaining our fixed assets ledger.

    You will perform financial transactions, post them in the general ledger, and ensure accurate tracking within NetSuite, always with a strong attention to detail.

    Ultimately, you aim to ensure the company's fixed assets are accurately represented in our financial systems.


    Responsibilities:


    • Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordationof fixed assets.
    • Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixedassets.
    • Assign tag numbers to fixed assets.
    • Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
    • Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out thoseaccounts once the related projects have been completed.
    • Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
    • Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
    • Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
    • Calculate asset retirement obligations for those fixed assets to which AROs areapplicable.
    • Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.
    • Conduct periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets.
    • Conduct periodic physical counts of fixed assets.
    • Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of.
    • Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
    • Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
    • Prepare property tax returns.
    • Represent the company during any audits by a government that involve fixed assets.
    • Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.

    Requirements


    MUST have proven experience in fixed assets management for tens of thousands of individual items across multiple locations and legal entities.


    Proven experience managing fixed assets for multiple LLCs.

    Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially in advanced functions and spreadsheet management.

    Sound knowledge of US GAAP.

    Knowledge of and experience with NetSuite accounting software is a plus.

    Experience in asset-management software is a plus.

    Good math skills.

    Attention to detail.

    Strong organizational and communication skills.

    Ability to multitask and adhere to internal reporting deadlines.

    Confidentiality and integrity.

    Degree in Accounting; MSc is a plus.

    Ability to travel to company remote locations in TX, NC and SC.
