    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Manager to lead the Bank's growing development team.

    As the Software Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical vision, driving the development process, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products for the Bank and its' subsidiary, FINTX.

    Essential Duties
    Technical Leadership


    • Provide strategic direction for the software development team, aligning technical initiatives with business goals.
    • Make informed decisions on technology stack, architecture, and development methodologies, considering scalability, security, and future advancements.
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software developers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
    • Enforce coding standards and best practices to maintain high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
    • Implement code reviews and conduct regular technical audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
    Project Management


    • Collaborate with product managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Implement and refine agile development processes to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and responsiveness to changing project requirements.
    • Oversee the entire software development life cycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
    • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of software projects, meeting or exceeding quality standards.
    Technology Stack Management


    • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, recommending and implementing new technologies to enhance product capabilities.
    • Manage and optimize the technology stack to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
    • Oversee the establishment and maintenance of robust CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
    Ensure a seamless and automated release process, minimizing downtime and accelerating deployment timelines.
    Collaboration


    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI, and quality assurance, to drive successful project outcomes and alignment of goals.
    • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
    • Communicate technical concepts and decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    Supervisory Responsibility
    The Software Development Manager will oversee team of software developers.
    Work Environment
    This job role operates from the Bank's Corpus Christi headquarters. It is a professional environment.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
    This is full-time position. Work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Travel
    Minimal travel within the Bank's service area 10% percent of the time.

    Must hold a valid Driver's License, maintain a safe driving record and be able to drive to multiple locations, transporting supplies and equipment.

    Requirements
    Required Education and Experience
    Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

    7+ years of professional software engineering experience with 3+ years in a leadership role within software engineering, preferably in the financial or financial tech industry.

    Strong understanding of fintech products, financial systems, and regulatory compliance.
    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    Demonstrated ability to drive results and meet project deadlines.
    Experience with CI/CD tools preferably Azure DevOps and Git.
    In-depth experience in the management, design, administration, programming, and support of RDBMSs preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
    Extensive experience building solutions using the .Net stack.
    Experience building and implementing API service architectures.
