- Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed
- Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
- Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar
- Ring beverages that are poured or served, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
- Provide apprentice bartender and bar porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service, and bartending
- Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order, including cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar
- Participate in modeling, presentations and promotions programs throughout the casino and resort if applicable
- Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
- Highly motivated and energetic personality
- Knowledge of menu items, including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
- Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in Food & Beverage, cocktail service, nightclub, or entertainment venue
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
- Two (2) years of experience in a bar or similar environment
- Modeling experience, if applicable
- Experience working in a similar resort setting
