    Job Summary

    The Tuxedo Club is currently searching for multiple Food Runners to join our team The key role of the food runner is the coordination and communication between the front and back of the house with regard to the delivery of food to members. Clear communication is a crucial component in this position. The food runner position also assists with setting up the various dining rooms, setting tables, clearing tables, pouring water, running food, working with servers and expediters, resetting the dining room, polishing glassware and various tasks that support service in all F&B areas of the Club. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of care and hospitality.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Expedite accurate delivery of food to any one of the dining venues at the Club, utilizing the traditional tray and tray jack system
    • Coordinate ticket timing in conjunction with the Culinary team
    • Communicate with kitchen last minute needs from servers.
    • Ensure all dishes coming out of kitchen are correct according to ticket, given correct condiments and brought to the correct seat/table. Communicate with kitchen if something else is needed and/or missing.
    • Develop knowledge of the menus here at the Club, and learn to ask questions
    • Assist servers and back waiters to meet the Tuxedo service standard set forth by the management team.
      • Including clearing and resetting tables
      • Running food and getting condiments
      • Communicating guest needs to servers and or kitchen
    • Assist housemen in setting up and breaking down event spaces, and more
    • Complete side-work as assigned by manager or supervisor
    • Possess a passion for exceeding member expectations with a commitment to excellence that results in providing the highest quality experience
    • Deliver a fun and friendly environment during each guest exchange while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
    • Adhere to company uniform and grooming standards at all times
    • Comply with all NYS Health and Safety codes with regards to Food and Beverage
    • Perform any related duties as requested by the supervisor/manager
    • Assist other departmental staff members when needed

    Working Conditions

    As a food runner you may be in a full time or part time hourly position. It is expected that you may have to work on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.     • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and/or hear
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception
    • Employees must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs multiple times per day, and push a cart weighing up to 100lbs
    • Expect to be on their feet for up to 6 hours at at time
    • Must practice proper body mechanics and use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury
