    Job Description

    The responsibilities of the Process Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage modifications to process equipment and methodologies for improved chemical production efficiency.
  • Investigate manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for reducing precious metal inventory and lowering operating costs.
  • Oversee scheduling of material flow and production operations in specific departments.
  • Lead projects related to chemical processes, solution flows, and wastewater treatment operations.
  • Manage CAPEX projects, including equipment replacement, process improvement, and building renovations.
  • Develop and revise equipment specifications; select and order automatic control equipment.
  • Prepare control schemes and programming for automatic control of chemical operations.

    The Successful Applicant

    The successful Process Engineer will have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering or another engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to select chemical process equipment and prepare process flow diagrams.
  • Strong working knowledge of inorganic chemistry, unit operations, and analytical techniques.
  • Proficiency in performing chemical and metallurgical calculations, such as mass balances or chemical consumptions.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for technical drawings.
