    Description
    Position Summary:

    Manage engineering programs from concept through launch.

    Responsibilities of Position:
    • Design, develop and validate TI thermal Modules & Systems products from concept to production.
    • Ideate, propose, and develop new solutions (ex, methods to integrate components more efficiently)
    • Interface with account and platform managers as well as customers to determine product requirements.
    • Establish design parameters to ensure that product design is feasible for manufacturing.
    • Provide direction to designers with consideration for fabrication, processing and assembly of the product.
    • Implement design through a formal program of AQP.
    • Approve all product-engineering drawings: identify or establish performance and material specifications.
    • Analyze components for relevant failure modes and create formal documentation (DFMEA).
    • Validate all designs and prepare reports summarizing results (e.g., DVP&R).
    • Simplify and standardize current and new designs to maximize economic benefits.
    • Coordinate prototype orders, build and submission.
    • Ensure program objectives are met.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Skill Requirements:
    • Understanding of thermal systems and architectures with focus refrigerant and coolant systems for BEV and PHEV
    • Regular and predictable attendance.
    • Ability to manage program events such that engineering objectives are met.
    • Ability to formulate and implement solutions to design problems.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Proficient in MS Office programs.
    Education and Experience Requirements:
    • 3 to 5 year experience in field of thermal systems preferred
    • Minimum of BSME or related engineering degree
    • Strong project management experience preferred
    • Knowledge of thermal system components including pumps, valves, etc. preferred
    Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:
    • Valid driver's license.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.
    • Travels to plant, supplier, and customer sites.
    Working Conditions:
    • Occasionally lifts up to 30 pounds and frequently carries up to 15 pounds.
    • Maneuvers in, around, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.
    • Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting, and bending. Works at telephone answering equipment, design equipment, and at a PC.
    • Works within an engine components manufacturing, office, and laboratory setting and is exposed to heat, cold, wet, and fumes/chemicals.
