Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer III to join our team in the DMV area. We have opportunities in the Washington, DC area as well as Northern Virginia and Maryland . If you are looking for an opportunity in any of those locations, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Focuses on DoD artifacts and documentation to perform requirements analysis, including decomposition of high-level requirements into artifacts assignable during Agile program increments and sprints

Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement

Interact with project teams regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts

Communicate with other Technical Direction Plan (TDL) project personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives

Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, to include: Technical Process Area, Enterprise Process Area, and Agreement Process Area

Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as Systems Engineering Plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an IT, Business, Engineering, Math, Science, or related field

Five or more (5+) years of related experience

If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required

If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in STEM or related discipline

Relevant industry standard certifications such as INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) or OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional–Advanced (OCSMP-A) certifications

Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies

Clearance Requirements:

This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
