    Job Summary:

    Responsible for coordination, implementation and preparation of medical staff credentialing functions and credentialing of allied Health Practitioners in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations.# Provides required reports relating to credentialing to assigned committees.# Works with the Department Manager and Medical Staff Leadership to assure regulatory requirements are met with regards to credentialing.

    of Institutional Quality, the Department Manager and Medical Staff Leadership in carrying out required functions of Medical Staff Committees and some hospital committees.

    # Must be able to function independently.# Maintains the confidentiality of medical staff and hospital records in accordance with Medical Staff and Hospital Policy.

    Position Requirements:

    Education:
    High school diploma or GED required. Two years college course work preferred.


    Experience:

    Five years experience in a healthcare environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.# Familiarity with appropriate Hospital regulatory requirements i.e.

    Joint Commission and Title 22 regulations.


    Knowledge, SKills # Abilities:

    Personal Computer, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Knowledge and/or Familiarity with and/or ability to learn the Medical Staff Database (ECHO) and have skills necessary to maintain the database, Strong professional and interpersonal skills, Strong verbal and written communication skills, Ability to interact successfully with management, physicians, staff and visitors, Ability to take minutes in summary fashion when needed.# Strong organizational skills and ability to deal with issues with flexibility.

    Ability to interact with all levels of management and able to set priorities and manage multiple demands effectively.# Ability to function well within a team and independently.

    Bend/Stoop:
    Up to 3 hours
