    Pipe/Cylinder Shop Plate Roll Operator
    Position Summary
    Steel Forgings Inc. (SFI) is a leading manufacturer of custom butt weld fittings that has been servicing the oil and gas industry for over 70 years. SFI is seeking a Plate Roll Operator to work in our cylinder/pipe department.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Operate hot plate cylinder roll machine.
    • Experience with both cold and hot rolling procedures.
    • Capable of operating manual Bertsch Rolls.
    • Capable of rolling different material thicknesses within API standard 1% of round.
    • Willing to perform other tasks throughout the shop as assigned by the supervisor
    • Strong work ethical self-starter who will take ownership of assigned duties.
    • Proficient in blueprint reading and all measuring tools.
    • A strong, team first attitude.
    • Punctual, and reliable.
    • Willingness to learn and acquire other skills as necessary.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements.
    • Able to lift 50 pounds.
    • Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
    • Working in temperature zones that may include hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present.
