5+ years of experience in petrochemical or refining industry
Experience with stage gate process for project development and execution
Experience supervising engineers and construction crew on a project-project basis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in fast paced, challenging environment

Plusses:

BS in Mechanical or civil engineering
PMP Cert
SAP experience

Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager to join one of its largest Oil & Gas clients. This project manager will coordinate and execute multiple Capital and Expense Projects simultaneously to improve plant safety, environmental compliance, reliability, and profitability as well as providing plant and facility support for the continued reliable operation of existing and installation of new equipment.

Day to Day:

· Act as a liaison between Project/Turnaround core teams

· Participate in planning and estimating of current and future projects

· Coordinate internal resources and third party resources, as required, to execute projects

· Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

· Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and functional

· Develop a detailed project plan/schedule to track progress

· Monitor project progress, setup, and metrics reporting (e.g. time reporting by various team members, as well as due dates and project finance metrics)

· Keep detailed project notes and records

· Write project execution plans, scope of work documents, request for quote documents and other technical documents

· Manage multi-disciplinary project team and conduct timely review meetings

· Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs

· Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

· Report and escalate project progress and issues to management as needed

· Perform risk management to minimize project risks

· Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

· Create, maintain, and store project deliverables and documentation on the shared repository

· Follow-through on commitments made to others.

· Create and maintain well-organized and professional-looking work area.

· Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
