Tax Seniors through Partners Needed for CPA firm's in NYC, Long Island, NJ & CT

National & large regional CPA firms in the NY tri-state area seek Tax Professionals to join their tax departments. Positions are available in NYC, LI, NJ & CT. Needs exist for Seniors through Partners in all areas of tax, including but not limited to HNW, FS, RE, SALT, R&D, Entity, State Tax Credits, Tax Controversy or tax generalists.

Responsibilities of these positions include, but are not limited to:

Reviewing/preparing individual, corporate, partnership, trust, foundation, consolidated and multi-state tax returns- depending on the specialty role

Researching tax issues related to your clients

Handling and resolving client tax questions and issues

Reviewing federal and state quarterly estimated payments and assisting with tax audits and research projects

Developing good relationships with clients and managing their expectations

Determining possible situations where additional tax services can be provided

The right candidate will have the following:

BS in Accounting or related field

CPA or MS in Taxation and/or LLM preferred

3+ years recent experience in the tax department of a CPA firm

Experience in individual, corporate, partnership, foundation and trust work, experience with SALT or R&D for those roles

Experience with commercial, FS or RE clients a plus for certain roles

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Working knowledge of GoSystem and/or ProSystem a plus

Strong team player

Solid verbal and written communication skills

Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships
