    Our Construction Services Business Unit focuses on a variety of construction services to complement standard and numerous alternative project delivery methods, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), design-build, design-build-operate, design-build-own-operate, and construction management at risk. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our Construction Services Business Unit in Tampa, FL or Port Orange, FL.

    Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include:

    • Serving as the project manager on transportation construction projects
    • Assisting in managing current and prospective CEI contracts
    • Maintaining budgets, scopes, and schedules; developing and maintaining professional relationships with current and prospective clients
    • Leading proposals, scopes of work and fee estimates
    • Periodic site visits to construction projects; recruiting, mentoring, and managing CEI staff
    • A valid drivers license and some travel will be required
    • This position has the potential to evolve into a supervisory/management role for someone with the right aptitude for overseeing a team.

    Qualifications:

    The successful candidate must have the following:

    • A bachelors degree (or higher) in civil engineering or related field AND
    • 8 years of relevant experience with two of the ten years at the project management level
    • In leiu of degree, 14+ of relevant experience including two years at the project management level

    The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

    • A PE license in any state with ability to obtain in Florida within six months of start date
    • Experience serving as the project manager/resident engineer on FDOT projects
    • Experience managing CEI projects and professional staff
    • FODT Advanced MOT Certified
    • CTQP Quality Control Manager Certified
