- Assisting in the research and implementation of a new Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
- Accurately cataloging and inputting specified data points from new and existing contracts into the CLM system.
- Regularly updating and maintaining contracts within the CLM System.
- Preparing a diverse range of legal and general corporate documents, such as forms, correspondence, contracts, and demands.
- Creating initial Contract redlines and summarizing contracts, regulations, and laws for executive review.
- Methodically organizing and managing files for multiple business areas to ensure efficient retrieval and management.
- Reviewing and preparing written summaries of regulations or legislative bills.
- Occasionally conducting comprehensive regulatory research.
- Managing the pipeline of all legal business, including handling the intake and distribution of correspondence, being the primary point of contact for the legal department, and at times managing legal scheduling.
- Conducting specialized legal research related to Contracts, marketing, privacy, Cybersecurity, Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and other legal subjects, as required.
- Analyzing and synthesizing legal information to aid the general counsel in strategy and preparation.
- Assisting executives in preparing for meetings by tailoring support to match specific business needs.
- Collaborating with the sales team to review revisions requested by customers for the Company's agreement.
- Conducting initial reviews of incoming form contracts.
- Being the initial point of contact for reviewing incoming contracts.
- Researching, reviewing, and drafting written responses for claims from third-party or government agencies, as needed.
- Occasionally gathering legal information or consulting with personnel in other departments and external entities while conducting research or other legal duties.
- Supporting the general counsel with complex research, subject and topic research, and briefings on Contracts, Regulations, and compliance protocols.
- Keeping statistical and documented information pertaining to Contracts and timeline issues and collaborating with relevant departments/functions within the Company to enforce policies or actions if necessary.
- Monitoring deadlines for all matters and maintaining a calendar to ensure no deadlines are missed.
- Ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures, including the signing authority policy.
- Facilitating the meeting of deadlines by maintaining multiple agendas and offering timely reminders to sales/development team members.
- Aiding in the implementation of legal processes and technologies.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in contract management.
- Background in a corporate legal department or law firm with a focus on contract management, contract review, and/or regulatory compliance.
- Outstanding organizational skills with a high level of professional discretion.
- Capability to manage high work volumes in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with legal document management systems and reporting tools in a corporate setting.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and critical thinking abilities, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
