    Corporate Nurse Leader

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Corporate Nurse Leader assists the Regional Nurse Consultant build and lead delivery of supporting services for our care management, utilization management, clinical quality, and population health teams. This position is responsible for assisting with unifying, further developing, and expanding the facility's clinical team to deliver a streamlined, effective, and client-centered approach to service. This position is responsible, as part of the regional facility leadership and care teams, for the overall patient care management process. This position provides oversight, guidance and support for the processes related to the development, implementation and outcomes of patient care plans as developed through clinician assessment. This position serves as a resource, positive role model, and mentor for the Director of Nursing, and other nursing staff. The Corporate Nurse Leader, with direction from the Regional Nurse Consultant oversees multiple areas, such as training, quality, and clinical regulatory compliance.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED BY THE REGIONAL NURSE CONSULTANT

    Ensures Clinical Teams are Operating within Regulatory Requirements and Industry Best Practices Via Quality Assurance, Clinical Regulatory Oversight and Training

    • Provides clinical and system training to new employees as well as refresher training to current employees.
    • Fills in for vacant Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager Positions, as necessary.
    • Assists with strategy and process development and implementation, including measurement of outcomes.
    • Acts as super-user and trainer for clinical software system, and other systems
    • Monitors and works closely with the DON and Nurse Managers on the status of the quality measures and takes the appropriate inventions when indicated
    • Assists in training in new Directors of Nursing and Nurse Managers.
    • Collaborates regularly with leadership to share findings and coordinate and drive improvement efforts.
    • Identification, tracking, resolving, responding to and reporting any quality-of-care issues.

    Consistently Identifies Opportunities to Streamline Work, Improve Processes, and Improve Consistency Across Clinical Teams

    • Ensures clinical processes and teams operate seamlessly with other departments.
    • Attend and actively participates in facility IDT meetings, clinical operations, and other operational meetings as required.
    • Works with facility staff to assure feasibility and compliance with policy and initiatives

    Facility Compliance

    • Promotes a highly positive workplace centered on strong customer service, inclusivity and ensuring staff feel welcome and supported
    • Attends continuing education/in-services pertinent to your department and designated by the VP of Clinical Services
    • Participates in inspections and audits as designated by the Regional Nurse Consultant
    • Is knowledgeable of an abides by the important of the Residents' Bill of Rights.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Experience

    • Must have an RN License and be in good standing.
    • At least 2 years' experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled Nursing Facility in Minnesota.
    • Progressive leadership experience in a health care environment; managing and developing a team, overseeing multiple functions, and providing strategic and tactical direction and operational oversight.
    • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Department of Health regulations, legislating and laws

    • Must qualify for employment, after criminal background study per guidelines of Minnesota Department of HS
