- Assists business development with sales strategy on individual enterprise accounts.
- Develops project and deal economics to assist in the sale of enterprise accounts.
- Identifies strategies to implement energy projects effectively and profitably in these vertical markets across the nation.
- Develops relationships with subcontractors in multiple geographies.
- Analyzes the opportunities for energy savings.
- Develops policies and procedures for regions to adopt as enterprise sales gain momentum.
- Works with internal partners in development and project management.

- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a relevant field of study; and 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced engineering degree is preferred.
- Proven successful track record in a complex sales or project development environment, preferably in energy efficiency, solar, and/or energy storage fields.
- Demonstrated proficiency in relationship building, lead generation, navigation of technical and financial obstacles, contracting procedures, and deal closings.
- Must possess a strong understanding of the enterprise verticals and their energy systems (industrial and healthcare).
- Must possess strong technical knowledge in key technologies such as lighting, HVAC, central plans, refrigeration, and compressed air and steam systems.
- Must possess a strong knowledge of development of renewable energy technologies including solar, biogas, and wind.
- Ability to travel more than 50% of the time.
- Knowledge of Veregy's services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
- Knowledge (Intermediate to advanced) of various operating systems, software products (e.g. MS Office, etc.), is required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time / workload.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business, professional, and technical documents.
- Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to write presentations, articles, routine reports, proposals, and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and staff.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively before customers and staff.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate priority with end users.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
