- Evaluation and treatment of hematology and oncology patients at our Viera and Palm Bay locations.
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine labs, x-rays, etc.
- Monitor the patients' treatment plans and make appropriate referrals to a physician as needed.
- Counsel and educate patients and their families about disease, treatment plans, wellness care, and survivorship plans.
- Collaborate with supervising physician(s) and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients.
- Provide appropriate direction to clinic staff regarding patient care issues.
- Support education of inpatient and outpatient oncology nursing teams.
- Oversee treatment infusions and supportive care needs.
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license.
- Current AHA BLS Provider Certification.
- 1-2 years of experience as APRN or PA in Hematology/Oncology preferred.
- ONS Certification preferred.
