    ABOUT CMFCAA

    The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is a not for profit agency that educates, supports, & advocates for foster, adoptive, & kinship children, youth, & families in central Missouri by offering services & partnering with community & governmental agencies to develop healthy & self-sufficient individuals & families.

    Founded in 2007 by a former foster youth, foster parents, and adoptive parents, the CMFCAA is a community service organization that provides for the needs of foster, adoptive, kinship, and guardianship youth and families. What began as a small support group has grown into a multifaceted organization that provides direct support, education, services and advocacy to foster and adoptive families in a 24-county central Missouri region.

    Currently, we are assisting over 640 foster families, over 1400 foster children, over 400 adopted children in our service area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much needed services to them.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Respite Supervisor will manage a child respite service, and is responsible for the delivery of quality, specialized client services. This position will assist families who require respite for their children with special needs.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Oversee day to day operations of respite services

    Organize and coordinate event bookings

    Supervise staff

    Coordinate team schedules with family needs and events

    Track participant numbers and file monthly, quarterly, yearly reports and surveys

    Maintain communication with staff, families, and other departments to ensure needs and organizational mission is being carried out

    Monitor and evaluate staff and program effectiveness in meeting client needs

    Work to develop staff short- , medium- , and long-term goals, and implement plans for program improvement, expansion and evaluation

    Observe and monitor service provision with families

    Be a community liaison

    Participate in service area strategic planning and agency committees

    Travel to all office and service locations

    Works with the foster, adoptive and kinship families that CMFCAA serves providing necessary resources, respite opportunities, and community connections to limit placement disruption

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, or closely related field preferred

    1 year of supervisory experience required

    3-5 years of managerial experience preferred

    Strong customer service

    Strong ability to analyze data and reporting capabilities

    Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

    Ability to determine informational needs, to collect and analyze information

    Database management skills

    Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities

    Ability to make some administrative/procedural decisions and judgments

    Ability to conduct literature and online database searches

    Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications

    Must be able to pass a Federal and civil background as well as drivers background
