    Description


    Our team is partnered with a highly acquisitive industry leader and seeking a Tax Analyst to join their team in Chicago's western suburbs The Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing a variety of tax returns and related filings for multiple types of entities.

    The role will report to the Tax Manager and build a rewarding career, gaining exposure to unique & exciting tax work with plenty of room for growth.


    Responsibilities :
    Prepare Federal & State income and franchise tax returns, extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, and TrustsDocument and organize tax workpapers for income and franchise tax returnsMaintain annual state weighted apportionment percentage schedules for all 50 statesSet-up and maintain electronic payment accounts for state tax paymentsPrepare check requests and vouchers for required tax paymentsMonitor tax return and tax payment due dates and submissionsPrepare tax information request package for each entityInteract with each entity's accounting department and family office personnel to gather the necessary financial information for tax returns and tax estimates complianceRespond to taxing authority notices and phone calls on tax mattersPerform tax research for tax audit defense and state tax law updatesAssist in federal and state tax audit defensePrepare annual tax provision calculation and ASC analysisCoordinate and improve processes related to fixed asset maintenance for tax booksUpdate and maintain tax preparation softwareAssist in due diligence for acquisition targetsPartner with outside consultants on tax planning and research mattersQualifications :EducationBachelor's degree in AccountingSkills & Relevant Work Experience1+ years of directly related and progressively responsible tax experienceCPA preferredHighly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelExperience working with CCH Prosystem fx/Access a plusSelf-motivated, highly organized, with ability to set and meet deadlinesTakes a hands-on approach to workExperience working in team environments yet comfortable working independently
