Gasket Assembler - Geismar, United States - AMMON Staffing

Description

We are currently recruiting Gasket Assemblers and Winding Machine Operators for a large, well established, metal gasket production facility in Geismar, LA. Employees will be using equipment, tools and operating machinery to assemble metal gaskets used in Petro-Chemical Plants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow technical instructions
• Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
• Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
• Follow company procedures and directives.
• Test finished products for defects.
• Maintain the tools used to create products.
• Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.

Skills

• Must be able to reasonable understand English to comprehend instructions as needed.
• Work Experience *No previous experience required.
• Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull. *Continuous standing and/or walking.
• Moderate physical effort- working frequently with average weights of ten to fifty pounds or continuously with lighter weights.
• Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions.
• Ability to operate machine tools where time exceeds the handling time.
• Must be able to lift forty pounds independently.
• Drug screen and background check required.
